Born and raised in Nags Head, Matt's love and knowledge of the area stems from his upbringing as a true Outer Banks native. After graduating from Christopher Newport University in 2011, Matt was employed both as a teacher and a basketball coach in North Carolina and Virginia. Although he enjoyed his tenure in education, his love for the Outer Banks brought him back home. During Matt's 9 years with Twiddy & Company, he has worked very closely with both guests and homeowners to form a complete knowledge of the rental industry tied to the Outer Banks. In order to become fully immersed in vacation rental properties, Matt spent a year training with the Guest Service & Owner Service Department to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to own and operate a vacation rental. Matt is excited to be a third generation Outer Banks Real Estate Agent; both his father and grandfather were active members of the industry. In 2023, Matt sold over $21m in real estate ranking him in the Top 25 of all active Realtors on the entire Outer Banks. Outside of work, Matt is an avid fisherman; when not in the office, you can find him either fishing or surfing off the pristine shores of the Outer Banks.
